The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE) reports on the PAMLA 2011 conference in the Winter 2012 issue of their newsletter.  Kevin Hutchings and Jessica Carey, University of Northern British Columbia, summarize the two ecocriticism panels and other talks on environmental topics.  They conclude that “All in all, the 2011 PAMLA conference demonstrated that ecocriticism is alive and thriving on the west coast. Hopefully the trend will continue when PAMLA’s 110th annual meeting convenes next October 19-21 at Seattle University in Washington.”  And they invite speakers to submit paper proposals for PAMLA 2012.
