2016 PAMLA Conference Hotel Information

The 2016 PAMLA Conference will be held entirely at the Westin Pasadena, in sunny Pasadena, California. We’ve worked out a wonderful PAMLA rate, but rooms may run out. So, please make your hotel reservations soon, and please be sure to cancel your reservations early, should you not be able to attend.

The Westin Pasadena is located in the heart of Pasadena, a lovely city close to Los Angeles. Should you not wish to rent a car, you can easily take the LAX FlyAway bus to Union Station in downtown LA (http://www.lawa.org/flyaway/content.aspx?id=10152 ), and then take the Gold Line light rail to the Memorial Park station in Pasadena, which is an approximately fifteen-minute walk from the Westin Pasadena (https://media.metro.net/riding_metro/bus_overview/images/804.pdf ), but you may be able to call the Westin upon your arrival at Memorial Park station, to request a pick-up.

The Westin is within walking distance of historic Old Town Pasadena, many terrific restaurants, bars, galleries, shopping, and cultural sites and museums (including the Huntington Library and Gardens, the Gamble House, the Norton Simon, the USC Pacific Asia Museum, and the Pasadena Museum of California Art).

Located at Pasadena’s Plaza las Fuentes, the Westin is a four-star hotel, with a 24-hour Business Center, Concierge services, the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, and an outdoor heated pool.

• The Westin’s standard check-in time is 3:00 pm, and check out is 12:00 pm.
• The Westin has a 24 hour cancellation policy (so be sure to cancel more than 24 hours before arrival), but if you must cancel please try to do so as soon as possible so as to help your fellow PAMLA members still looking for rooms.
• Guestroom features/amenities include: Non-smoking room, heavenly Bed & Bath, Starbucks coffee in room, in-room refrigerator and safe.
• Attendees of PAMLA receive complimentary WiFi access.

The special PAMLA hotel rate is an amazingly reasonable $139 per night, plus tax.

Self-parking is $11 (no in-and-out privileges), and valet parking is $15 per night (endless in-and-out privileges).

PAMLA-rate hotel rooms are limited, and once they run out we will not be able to add any more. So please make your hotel reservations early. The PAMLA conference takes place from Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13, and we do expect our conference-goers to attend the full conference. So, please plan accordingly.
