Should you need more than one King bed, there will be a small additional charge. Standard King rooms seem to be sold out, but Deluxe King rooms should end up costing you approximately the same amount.

NOTE: The Margaritaville Resort has changed the way they are listing prices on their website and our PAMLA portal. So, the $169 plus $20 resort fee plus taxes and fees (for a deluxe King room) might now show up as a total price per night of approximately $220 per night, including fees. But that’s not a real change in the price, just in the way they are advertising the room price ahead of you making a reservation. The 2024 PAMLA Conference is being held at the lovely 4-star Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs. The Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is a tropical desert oasis in the heart of the Palm Springs Uptown Design District. The hotel has a classic retro Hollywood vibe, not surprising given that it was formerly the Riviera Hotel, a favorite hangout for Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. Cher, and other Hollywood stars. The hotel combines a chic, mid-century Palm Springs aesthetic with Margaritaville’s casual-deluxe island feel.
Just minutes from downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs airport, and a reasonable car ride (about 75 minutes) from the Ontario, California airport, the Margaritaville Resort includes a variety of guest room types, two lovely resort pools, six dining outlets, the soothing St. Somewhere Spa (Palm Springs’ largest resort spa), and the Margaritaville Conference Center, the site of our PAMLA conference (and thus just a brief walk from your hotel room). Plus, the brief walk or Uber or Lyft ride to downtown Palm Springs makes the resort the perfect place to stay for our conference, plus a scholarly vacation in lovely, sunny Palm Springs.
The Margaritaville Palm Springs Resort hotel rooms come equipped with air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi in rooms, flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, safes, and ironing boards. You will also receive, if you make your reservation as part of our PAMLA block, a discounted rate ($169 plus tax), discounted resort fee ($20 a night vs. the normal $46 nightly resort fee), free parking at the resort, and fitness center access.
Even if you live in the area, please consider making this PAMLA conference a Scholarly Staycation by staying for a night or three at the Margaritaville Palm Springs Resort. By staying at the conference hotel you will get to fully participate in the warmth, camaraderie, intellectual stimulation, and culture and arts of PAMLA 2024 while also experiencing all that Palm Springs has to offer! Without even using a car, you can walk or take a brief Uber or Lyft ride to various restaurants, bars, shopping centers, movie theaters, local attractions, and the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs Information:
The special PAMLA room rate, $169 a night plus a reduced resort fee (just $20 a night, reduced from $46) and tax, will only last until we sell out our block. So, make your reservation soon. Upgrades to special rooms and suites available at an additional cost.
Should you need two beds, there will be a small additional charge.
Should you have to cancel your reservation, be sure to do so at least 72-hours before check-in, so as to avoid being charged.

The Days Inn by Wyndham Palm Springs is a brief 10-minute walk to the Margaritaville Palm Springs.

The Days Inn by Wyndham Palm Springs has a lovely pool and hot tub, free parking, coffee makers, mini-fridges, and microwaves in all rooms, and free wifi. Guests at the Days Inn will receive a 15% discount at the nearby Rick’s Restaurant.

The Dunes Palm Springs Hotel

The Dunes Palm Springs is a highly-rated 1960s (but recently renovated) hotel that is a brief ten-minute drive from the Margaritaville Palm Springs (our conference hotel), and a ten-minute walk to downtown Palm Springs (it is a bit too far to walk to Margaritaville from the Dunes, however). While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, it is next door to the well-rated Vietnamese restaurant, Rooster and the Pig, and a brief walk to many other restaurants (or order from many restaurants, if you want to stay in).
