PAMLA 2026 Membership & Conference Payment

Your PAMLA membership payment supports the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association and gives you membership in PAMLA for the entire 2026 calendar year, as well as an issue of our PAMLA journal, Pacific Coast Philology, and online access to back issues of the journal.

Paying both PAMLA membership and conference fees is required for all conference presiding officers, chairs, and presenters.

When joining PAMLA and/or paying for the conference, please consider making a donation to our PAMLA General Fund and/or one of our PAMLA scholarship funds, which you can do via our online payment system.

If you wish to attend the PAMLA conference and you aren’t presenting or chairing/presiding over a session, there is a reasonably priced Auditor fee available.

PAMLA conference participants may bring friends and family to the conference by paying a very inexpensive Friends & Family add on registration option.

  • PAMLA membership and conference fees are due for presiding officers once a session has been approved. Sessions will not be listed on the CFP page until the presiding officer has paid their fees. Should a session not make, and a presiding officer wish to cancel, conference fees will be refundable until August 31.
  • PAMLA membership fee deadline for all participants: June 15 or as soon as confirmed. After August 3, conference participants who haven’t yet paid their membership fee may be removed from the program.
  • PAMLA offers early-bird and discount conference fees for those who wish to save. After July 5, participants will pay the regular conference fee. If a participant hasn’t paid by August 31, they will be charged an additional urgent conference fee.
  • After August 31, those who haven’t paid their conference fees may be removed from the program.
  • Conference cancellations will not receive reimbursements after August 31, 2026.
  • PAMLA does not allow virtual or online papers, or papers to be read in absentia.
  • PAMLA membership is typically not refundable.
  • PAMLA membership lasts for the calendar year, no matter at what point in the year it is paid.
