PAMLA 2026 Extended CFP: Global Languages, Literatures and Cultures

Are you looking to present your research at a global literature and culture conference this year? The Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association invites you to submit your paper proposals for PAMLA 2026, taking place at the Hyatt Regency Seattle from November 12–15.

Our Extended CFP Deadline is June 30, and several exciting sessions in Asian, French/Francophone, Italian, German, and Spanish/Portuguese studies are still accepting abstracts.

To help you find the perfect fit for your abstract, we have organized our open language and culture panels by research theme. Browse the open sessions below and submit your proposal before the June 30 deadline.

Literature & Power

These panels explore how author and artists challenge authority, navigate identity, and push back against political power.

Transnational Studies & Cross-Cultural Relations

If your research focuses on comparative literature, global networks, or how cultural ideas travel across geographic borders, consider submitting an abstract to one of these open sessions:

Cinema, Popular Culture & Digital Media

From classic Italian filmmaking to modern digital media and comic arts, these open panels cover a wide array of visual culture and screen studies.

Cultural History & National Identity

These interdisciplinary panels welcome paper proposals covering linguistic history, food studies, gender, and foundational literary figures.
