The PAMLA Conference is being held at the InterContinental San Francisco (888 Howard Street). Rooms at the InterContinental are no longer available at the PAMLA rate. Please try to fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO), a convenient BART ride (via the Red or Yellow BART lines) to the Powell Street Bart Station, which is an 8-minute walk away from the InterContinental.

The PAMLA 2025 Conference is being held entirely in-person at the InterContinental San Francisco Hotel, South of Market (SoMa) near the Moscone Convention Center West, and a short stroll away from the city’s iconic museums, restaurants, bars, shops, and cultural landmarks. Please be sure you haven’t accidentally reserved at the similarly named, but different, InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco, located on Nob Hill.

Our room block at the InterContinental San Francisco has filled and any rooms that become available will now be at much higher non-PAMLA prices. Should you have to cancel your room reservation, please let Craig Svonkin know before you do so, so he can help a fellow PAMLA member in need to acquire your room. The nightly PAMLA room rate at the InterContinental San Francisco Hotel is: $179 plus 17.695% tax per night; or $210.67 total per night including taxes; the nightly Urban Destination fee will be waived at check-in). This is a significant 60% savings from their current regular nightly rate.

Room reservations or changes to your reservation may also be made by calling 1-866-781-2364. Identify yourself as a PAMLA conference attendee at the InterContinental Hotel San Francisco.

Check out time: 11:00am

Be sure to cancel your room reservation at least 48 hours prior to arrival for full refunds.

On-site valet parking is available for PAMLA attendees at a deeply discounted rate ($40 per car night inclusive of tax for PAMLA attendees), including EV chargers. (This is more than a 50% discount from the normal non-PAMLA parking rate.)

PAMLA attendees who reserved through our portal will receive the following:

  • The Urban Destination Fee of approximately $35 will be waived.
  • IHG Rewards members are eligible for points.
  • Each room has a television, a safe, a Keurig coffee and tea maker, and a bathroom and comfy bed or two, depending on your room type reservation.
  • A concierge is on call Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 8 am until 4 pm.
  • Access to the hotel’s indoor pool from 6 am until 10 pm daily.
  • Access to hotel’s complimentary fitness center: 24 hours every day.
  • Room service: 6:30 am until 2 pm; 4-10 pm, until 11 pm on Wednesdays through Saturdays.

PAMLA Overflow Hotels Near the Conference Site

King George Hotel San Francisco

Unfortunately, there are no longer any rooms available at the King George for November 18-24 at the PAMLA rate.

Just steps from Union Square, and a refreshing 15-minute walk to the InterContinental San Francisco (the site of our conference), the King George is a 3-star hotel that is clean and well-regarded—but some guests do comment on the small size of the rooms, the noise of the neighborhood, and the slow elevator. It may not be as luxurious as the InterContinental or the Marker (which are both 4-star hotels), but we are confident having read the reviews that you will get a decent room at a reasonable price.

Just steps from vibrant Union Square and a refreshing 16-minute walk to the InterContinental San Francisco (the site of our conference), the classic 1910 Marker Union Square is a lovely Beaux–Arts 4-star hotel in the heart of San Francisco’s Theater District.
