Long(ing) Life

This session on the medical humanities seeks papers that explore literary representations of long life, life extension, immortality, prolonged existence, vegetative states, or artificial life. Papers from any literary period are welcome, and they can take a wide variety of approaches including but not limited to disability studies, science fiction studies, medical humanities, or posthuman studies.
