Comparative Media

The Comparative Media session is open to any paper that explores media broadly defined but is especially interested in those related to the conference theme, "Acting, Roles, Stages." Possible topics include theories of acting for film, television, or the internet; histories of film or television acting; anti-realist staging and acting; editing, cinematography, and acting; genre and acting; typecasting; bad acting; the Oscar, Emmy, and other awards for acting; the body and the actor; cell phones, vlogs, YouTube videos, and acting; improvisation and the media; real people in film or television (being and acting); or acting workshops and exercises.
