What do authors and artists gain by distancing themselves from their work? This session welcomes explorations of authorial anonymity in its many forms (e.g. the muse, the genius, T.S. Eliot’s theory of impersonality, anonymity, pseudonymity, etc.), as well as its poetic advantages, its limitations, and issues of responsibility.
