Agency in the Works of David Lynch

This session will explore the topic of agency in the major films of David Lynch. Papers that grapple with agency in Twin Peaks (both the original series and the 2017 revival) will also be considered. The theme of agency is sufficiently broad to make room for papers exploring agency in connection to such topics as identity and performativity, tragedy (ancient or modern), human knowledge, the imagination or fantasy, and the community.
