Founded by newspaper publisher and philanthropist Ellen Browning Scripps in 1926, Scripps is the women's college of The Claremont Colleges. Scripps women lay claim to the best of both worlds: a superb liberal arts education on one of America's most beautiful college campuses as well as the opportunity to take advantage of educational and co-curricular offerings at four coed colleges literally next door to one another. Scripps graduates go on to some of the most prestigious graduate schools in the nation and leadership positions in a wide range of academic fields and endeavors.

Scripps College is frequently described as one of America's most beautiful college campuses. The successful placement of buildings in a lush garden landscape and the intimate scale of this academic environment have been the setting for Ellen Browning Scripps' "experiment in education" for more than 75 years.

The majority of the PAMLA conference will take place at Balch Hall, 1030 Columbia Ave., Claremont, CA.

There will be a registration desk on the 2nd floor balcony of the Malott Commons (#15 on campus map). Malott Commons is on 9th St. near the corner of 9th and Columbia Ave., Claremont, CA. (adjacent to Balch Hall).  Come by the registration desk to check in and to receive your name-tag and a paper copy of the conference program.
