SPECIAL TOPIC: VIOLENCE AND REPRESENTATION

Biennally PAMLA adopts a special topic for its conference and its journal. For the 2008 conference the topic will be Violence and Representation. For more information, please visit this page.

GENERAL SESSIONS AND SPECIAL SESSIONS

Proposals of 500 words and a 50-word abstract must be submitted to presiding officers listed below by March 15, 2008. Updated information on the call for papers and the conference will be posted on this website as it becomes available.

Presentations may be in one session only. Papers may not be read in absentia. Please, no multiple submissions of the same paper to different sessions allowed, but requests to have the paper rerouted to another session are encouraged. Presenters must be members of PAMLA by April 15, 2008. For membership information visit Membership.

PROPOSALS FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS

PAMLA invites proposals for special sessions (panels, workshops, seminars) that are more specialized than or different in topic from the standing sessions. Please include the title of the session, name and affiliation of the chair, contact information for the chair, and a brief description of the proposed session and the rationale for its proposal. To ensure time for evaluation and selection with a view toward a balanced program, please submit proposals by 15 December.
